About
Meet the producer.
Blake spent fifteen years making local businesses look good. He started on the Georgia coast, shooting weddings and events at the Jekyll Island Club, running photography workshops on Sea Island, and producing destination content for the Golden Isles that still runs more than a decade later. Some of that work aired on Good Morning America, NPR, and TODAY.
He studied journalism at the University of Georgia, then spent close to eleven years in education, where he built media programs, photographed everything in sight, and learned to notice the small details that make a place feel like itself. In 2023 he was named Georgia's Library Media Specialist of the Year.
Go Local Social grew out of one observation. The best aesthetics practices do careful, beautiful work, and almost none of them have time to show it online. Blake handles that part, so the people running these practices can keep doing what they are good at.
He lives in Dahlonega with his wife Kristen and their dog Tally, and he still thinks the marsh at low tide is one of the best things about Georgia.
